I was not part of the roundtable discussion on the use of open source software, however, I am vry curious to hear what other schools are beginning to use open source software solutions. Anyone?
At Brooklyn Friends we have three pieces of Open source software that we have begun to use this year- Mambo content management system, http://www.sourceforge.net), Gallery (group photo management) and Blojsum (blogging software). So far, we are pleased with the use of these packages, however I realized that our succes so far is in large part to the brain-power/support in implementation of these resources.
Is anyone out there using any open source software?
